Jay Horsley 2020

Jay Horsley, Class of 2022
Administration Team

I believe that God is the creator of the universe and our Heavenly Father.  I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our Savior.  I believe that the Holy Spirit is real and a part of every Christian.  I believe that Jesus died on a cross for our sins and was resurrected from the dead and sits at the right hand of God the Father, therefore when I take holy communion, I do so with self-reflection, repentance and in remembrance of Christ.  I believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and provides guidance for all of the challenges of life.  I believe in the Power of Prayer.  I believe that every life is important and God can use any of us to  fulfill a higher purpose.

As I think about being on the Session at Carrollton Presbyterian Church, I realize that we are as diverse as the disciples were in the day, but with God’s help we are called at this point in time to make a real difference.  If God is for us, then who can be against us.  I believe that God doesn’t bring us through difficult times to sit on the sidelines, but he wants us to be that light in the world.  I believe that we should love one another and be encouragers to all that need help.  Throughout my life experiences and faith in Jesus Christ, I developed the mindset of a warrior and the heart of a servant. With God’s grace and mercy, I am convinced that the best days are ahead for Carrollton           Presbyterian Church.   I believe that we will be the city on a hill for our community and the light that can be seen throughout the surrounding area.  I look forward to God leading us in the        direction that we should go forth.  I will serve with humility and promise to make decisions based on prayer and supplication.
